Williams Hotels and Accommodations, Arizona
There
is more to the appeal of bed and breakfasts in Williams besides the savory ranch-style breakfasts, elegant
clawfoot bathtubs, and cozy log cabins that guests enjoy. The drive to these facilities - some remakes of
actual Old West saloons - is just as fascinating. Driving along Historic Route 66 to a selected bed and
breakfast or other accommodation in northern Arizona is unlike any other ride to a prospective resting place.
The possibility of lodging at one of many accommodations that flank this stretch of the famous thoroughfare
gives travelers another reason to stay in downtown Williams - sleeping in proximity to the Grand Canyon is
usually the motivating factor. Williams, dubbed the Gateway to the Grand Canyon, is only an hour away from
the national park's South Rim. Although the town's bed and breakfasts best capture its Western flavor and
provide a refreshing alternative to the usual vacation arrangements, Williams offers so many other lodging
options - including some chain motels with room rates as low as $20 a night.
