Grand Canyon National Park Hotels
The Grand Canyon
offers vacationers hotels either temporarily within one of the Seven Wonders of the World or just
footsteps away from the marvel. Most hotels are located on or near the South Rim in several small
Arizona towns such as Tusayan, Flagstaff, Valle, and Williams. Resting up at either one of the hotels
or resorts could put you as close as two miles from the national park's south entrance, so don't be
disappointed if it seems difficult to find available lodging inside the Canyon. Guests can unwind
effortlessly as they discern views of enveloping mountain ridges that flaunt the colors of a kaleidoscope.
Come enjoy the views from the hotels, or get right into the action.
Visiting Grand Canyon National Park
Vacationers have
been flocking to the Grand Canyon since it became America's 17th national park in 1919. The National
Park seems to get a fair share of society's affection for national landmarks, considering that more
than 5 million visitors roll into the natural wonder every year. The South Rim, open year-round,
is one of the most-visited areas of the park, especially during the summer months. Mobs of hiking
and camping enthusiasts and families set out for the South Rim to trek the craggy terrain during that
time. The South Rim's Village heightens the canyon experience by offering a medley of unique shopping
outlets, top-notch dining establishments, world-class lodging, and historic sights for visitors'
enjoyment. Guests should reserve accommodations well in advance, though, before traveling to the
South Rim. Some travelers even plan trips to the Grand Canyon six months to a year in advance.
